Can she trust either man?

Hunted in a realm of powerful wizards and brutal deceptions, Eolyn must find her own path to freedom or she will burn on the pyre.

My Review:

Absolutely wonderful fantasy that is a breath of fresh air.  Magic swept throughout but with something so different and pure.  I read a lot of fantasy books, but women’s magic detailed perfectly.

Rockstars Volume 1: Nativity in Blacklight Paperback – by Joe Harris

When a pattern of unsolved 'groupie' murders from the 1970s resumes in present-day Los Angeles, nobody makes the connection except Jackie Mayer, a rock nerd with a strange connection to music's urban legends and lost history and a mysterious, almost magical ability to 'see' what most people miss, and determine and divine what's going unreported. Together with muckraking music writer, Dorothy Buell, and his loyal cat, Skydog, they soon uncover an underground conspiracy involving a legendary band, demonic possession, and sacrifices to the dark gods of rock.
Fan-favorite JOE HARRIS (GREAT PACIFIC, The X-Files) and mega-talented MEGAN HUTCHISON deliver a deliver a crash course in rock 'n' roll's untold mysteries, secret histories and seedy, seamy underbellies.
Collects issues 1 through 5.

The Woodcutter King by Ærick Graham

The whilom Wardens of Wudelic woods are watchers and sentinels of the wild. Their roots run deep like the oaks and elders. Proud as towering pines. Their history is as an old language etched into ruins, they are now known as the Woodcutters.
Eerie for their Ghost-lights, glowing orbs that sit on their brow, folks are not sure what to make of them. The patriarch, Alaric, is a descendant of the first Warden, having the ear of the woodland goddess, Lhodyn. She is the embodiment of all that is wild - capricious at best, vindictive at worse.
War descends over Alaric's village as borderland marauders murder and enslave all. In reaction, Lhodyn seizes the village children and hides them within her woodland realm. Alaric is now faced with a hard choice, to remain and endure certain brutality while he searches for the young ones or flee with the remainder of his family, their best chance for survival.
The Woodcutter King is a fusion of narrative styles, blending literary sensibilities with fantasy aesthetics. The heart of the story is about a father and son and their experiences after a family tragedy. But in true epic fantasy form, there is more at play than their personal struggles. Something mysterious lays hidden in the Wudelic Woods, just as they are beginning to discover.

The Lost Causes by Jessica Koosed Etting

Science fiction meets murder mystery in this edge-of-your-seat thriller.

The Lost Causes are five teens with serious problems and only one thing in common: people have written them off. Now they’re thrown together in group therapy, with vague promises of healing. Their problems do go away when they drink the water their therapist gives them. But that’s because it’s not just water ...

Unknowingly, the teens have ingested a serum that gives them psychic powers, part of an FBI plan to find out who was behind the grisly murder that has rocked their small town. Their new powers will help them uncover clues and follow leads that have eluded the authorities, and their outsider status gives them the perfect cover.

But the same traits that make them top investigators also make them vulnerable. As they close in on the murderer, they expose a much larger conspiracy that puts them directly in harm’s way and makes them wonder who — if anyone — they can trus

A Girl Like Me by Ginger Scott

A Girl Like Me by Ginger Scott
Book 2 in the Like Us Duet
A mature YA romance, and a little something more…
Release day: May 26

Blurb:
I’m not supposed to be here.

Death has come for me more than once, and each time it’s been a boy who’s
stood between me and my final breath.

I called him Christopher when he saved me as a child. When he came into my
life again, only months ago, I knew him as Wes. Just as he did the time
before, he disappeared the moment he made sure I was out of harm’s way; as
if I didn’t need any more saving.

This time, though, death left me with a reminder of how powerful it is. I
know it meant to strip me of my spirit again, but it failed.

Even so, I know I need Wes to survive. Our souls are woven together
somehow, our every breath in sync. I feel it, even though everyone says I
shouldn’t.

The world thinks he’s missing.
His loved ones don’t want to believe he’s dead.
Only I know just how special he is.

I’m going to find him and bring him home, where he belongs. Together,
we’ll face impossible—we’ll rewrite our ending.

And when the bad guys come calling, we will always win.
